History of Vastu Shastra
Vastu Shastra is a part of the Vedas and origins are in the Yajur Veda under the section Stapatya Vidya, But the exact origins of VASTU are still debatable but as per the scriptures available it is probably dated around 4000-5000 B.C. Also the Basic principles of Vastu and references are also found in the “Punanas”.

Role of Directions in Vastu Shastra
Vastu Shastra can also be called the science of directionsAs per Vastu Shastra , There are 4 main directions EAST, WEST , NORTH & SOUTH and 4 sub-directions or the corners at which the main directions meet namely NORTH-EAST , NORTH-WEST SOUTH-EAST , SOUTH-WEST .
Vastu for Flats
While evaluating the design plan or layout of a plot or a construction (flat or apartment), the first consideration should always be for a good entrance. The entrance holds the key to ushering in positivity and happiness for the entire family.
Vastu for shops
According to Vastu Shastra, the owner should sit inside the shop facing east or north. It is advisable never to sit facing south or west as it can lead to problems in business. The best-suited direction for the cashier is in the south-east direction.
Vastu for Mall
The plot should be square with clear corners. The ground should slope towards the North East. The shops inside the mall should be square or rectangular. The mall should be built in a manner such that maximum space should be left clear and uncluttered in the North East .
